Prerequisites
Before beginning the setup, ensure you have:
- Access to the Authorization Box platform
- SUPER user rights for the connecting account
- Your key code (provided via email or visible in the General tab header)
Setup Steps
1. Access the Database Configuration
- Log in to your Authorization Box account
- Navigate to Setup → General
- In the Databases tab, click the "New" button
2. Configure Connection Details
Complete the required fields with the following information:
- Connection URL: Enter the SOAP web service URL (called "AB") from Business Central
- Authentication Details: Configure according to your authentication method
- Key Code: Enter the provided key code
- This code can be found in:
- Your email communication, or
- The header of the General tab window
- This code can be found in:
3. User Permissions
Ensure that the account used for the connection has the necessary permissions:
- SUPER user rights are required
- This applies regardless of the chosen authentication method
4. Validate the Connection
- Click the "Save" button
- The system will automatically perform a connection test
- Look for the checkmark indicator that confirms a successful connection
Verification
A successful connection setup will be indicated by:
- A visible checkmark
- Confirmation message of successful connection
- Active status in the database connections list
